As some of you may know, we are currently working on an update to the site. We will upgrade the current forum system to PHPBB2. PhpBB 2 will be a major update over Invision Power Board which is currently used and we’re looking forward to what it has to offer. We have been testing the upgrade, and we expect to complete it at the beginning of next week. As a result, the forum is currently off line, so as not to interfere with our update.

Site update info

The Inquirer talked with XGI over at Computex. Here’s a quote :
THE YOUTHFUL CEO of XGI, CP Lin, outlined his firm’s strategy to the INQUIRER here this morning. And it’s an interesting one, we believe, which might shake up the current grip ATI and Nvidia have on the graphics market.
He said that XGI, which spun off as a separate company in June/July of this year, is focusing on developing technology for the graphics card market, and has two R&D teams which work in parallel on product ideas. It’s currently got 300 people working for it, and he said that of those people, 87% were involved in R&D, design and the like.

No doubt this is one of the best cards in the market with performance and great functionality. Another thing to note about this card here is that this is also a silent card. I am using this card for about 2 weeks now and I am pretty satisfied with it. There are problems with 1.08 WHQL drivers and I would advise not to use it. Besides that the card is great and has true potential. With HDTV Support, the card really stands out.
